A small comparison desk with one narrow speciality

The name is meant literally. A parade is a line-up you can walk past and inspect, and that is what this site is: a short row of casino brands, each one with its licence paperwork pinned to it, arranged so the differences are obvious at a glance.

We built it because the alternative was tedious. Anyone trying to choose between British casino sites ends up on pages that list bonus figures and game counts, and almost none of them answer the questions that decide whether your money is protected: which company actually holds the licence, what that licence covers, whether the web address you are looking at is one the regulator has on file, and whether there is any enforcement history on the record. Those answers are all public. They are just annoying to collect.

What the site does

Every brand in the line-up is looked up by hand on the Gambling Commission public register. We record the licensee, the account number, which remote products are authorised, the date the casino authorisation came into force, the registered web addresses and the number of regulatory actions on file. Then we compare those records against what the operator says about itself in its own terms, and publish the result with an editorial band attached. Because the licence record is the backbone of the comparison, the line-up stays deliberately short. Five brands checked properly is more use than fifty listed on trust.

How the site is funded

UK Chip Parade is commercial. If you open an account through one of our links, the operator may pay us a commission, and that is the only way the site earns anything. There is no subscription, no paid membership and no sponsored article format. What that funding does not buy is a band, a position in the table, or the omission of an awkward fact — the three regulatory actions recorded against one of the licensees we link to appear in our own comparison table. What we are not, in plain terms

• We are not a gambling operator. There is nothing to sign up for here, no wallet, no account and no game.
• We are not a regulator, a government body or a dispute service, and we cannot intervene in a complaint against an operator.
• We are not connected to the Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, GamCare or GambleAware. We link to them because they are useful; none of them endorses us.
• We are not a tipping service. Nothing here predicts an outcome, because casino outcomes cannot be predicted.

The editorial line

Two rules shape everything on the site. First, if we cannot verify a fact from a source you could check yourself, it does not get published — which is why you will not find bonus figures, wagering multiples, withdrawal times or game counts in our tables. Second, we write about gambling as a form of paid entertainment with a built-in cost, never as an income, an investment or a solution to a money problem. Casino games are designed to return less than they take. A comparison site that pretends otherwise is not worth reading.

That extends to who we write for. Nothing here is aimed at anyone under 18, and we do not use imagery, language or humour designed to appeal to children or young people.
